Writer and interpreter from Bristol. Vanessa has won over 10 Slam titles including Farrago Schools Out Slam, Bang Said The Gun Award, Rivals Poetry, Slam Next Generation, Slambassadors, South West Hammer, Tongue Slam, The Roundhouse Slam, Tongue National Slam and Nuoryican Poetry Slam New York.
Young Poet Laureate, London 2015 – 2016.
Multiple award-winning rapper, composer and singer drawing from hiphop and folk forms. His work is searingly honest, often funny and always raw.
Musician, poet and educator. She performs frequently all over the world and has toured numerous times across New York, UK and Europe performing in collaboration with the likes of the BBC, Roundhouse, Amnesty International and more. She fuses music and poetry through powerfully transparent performances focusing on social inequalities and celebrating love, blackness, and what it means to be woman.
No two shows are the same and this irreverent blend of well crafted words, improvisation and music have earned them critical acclaim at music, poetry and literature festivals across the UK and around the world.
